Wizard
The Wizard helps you go from a topic or specification to a draft question set using AI—without writing every item by hand.
Open the Wizard at https://testhiveapp.com/organization/wizard.
When to use the Wizard
| Use Wizard when… | Use Question Sets instead when… |
|---|---|
| You have a topic outline but no questions | You already have finalized items |
| You want AI to propose MCQs and descriptive items | You need full authoring control from the start |
| You describe the test in natural language (Scenario) | You need placeholder slots without AI (Custom) |
| You want to iterate with reroll and improve | You are editing a small number of existing questions |
For document-heavy content, consider CloudScribe first, then refine output in the Wizard or Question Studio.
Workflow
Define your specification
Describe the subject, difficulty, question count, and formats you need. The Wizard uses this to plan generation capacity.
Generate questions
The Wizard produces a draft set of items. Generation consumes credits from your organization balance.
Review and refine
For each item you can:
- Edit — adjust wording, options, or answers directly
- Reroll — ask AI for a replacement question on the same topic
- Improve — enhance clarity or difficulty with AI assistance
- Add — insert new items into the draft
- Remove — drop items you do not want
Finalize
When satisfied, finalize the Wizard state into a question set ready for tests. You can also discard the draft and start over without affecting published sets.
Credit usage
Each generation, reroll, and improve action uses credits. Check Settings → Usage at https://testhiveapp.com/organization/settings#usage before large runs. See Credits & Billing for details.
